Einstein spent the last 30 years of his life searching for the possibility of combining fundamental interactions (gravity and electromagnetism at that time) within the framework of the general theory of relativity (GRT). In his research, Einstein believed that all the fundamental interactions are derived from a single unified field, the carrier of which is four-dimensional space-time.
