Sommerfeld fine structure constant, no radiation condition, quantum jumps
In this paper it is clearly shown on a simple macroscopic example of two charged and oscillating parallel plates that under certain conditions the accelerated charge of the plates does not radiate. It is shown that the parameters of the experimental arrangement must satisfy certain condition related to the Sommerfeld fine structure constant. This suggests that there is some unknown spacetime structure within the atom that is not well understood and that should be investigated further. This unknown geometric spacetime structure then determines the fine structure constant and ultimately also the Planck constant.
